Botox® Commonly known as 'Botox', botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein that causes temporary relaxation of muscles by blocking nerve signals, resulting in a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Botox can also be used to enhance facial features or treat conditions such as teeth grinding (Bruxism) and excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis). Typically, effects last 3-4 months, after which time the effects fully-resolve and follow-up treatments are recommended.
